FESTIVAL OF NEW SPANISH CINEMA TOUR October 2008For anyone who hasn’t yet experienced the very latest Spanish productions, we’ve gathered an array of entertaining, artistic, and controversial films and are bringing them to five U.S. cities this Fall. Films include SOLITARY FRAGMENTS by Jaime Rosales, ME by Rafa Cortes, MATAHARIS by helmer Icíar Bollaín, SEVEN BILLIARDS TABLES by Gracia Querejeta, LE CHANT DES OISEAUX by Albert Serra, José Luis Guerin’s highly anticipated IN SYLVIA’S CITY, UNDER THE STARS by Félix Viscarret, SEPTEMBERS by Carles Bosch and SHORTMETRAJE: A collection of daring short films. LATINBEAT HITS SPANISH CINEMATHEQUES October 2008The Canary Islands welcome the Latin film series from October to December. With successful runs in Madrid, Murcia and Santander, the series is presented by the FILMOTECA CANARIA as a sidebar program of the already successful IBéRTIGO, the Latinoamerican Film Festival that takes place in Las Palmas (October 3-11), and Tenerife (October 13-17). And Pragda will be there to present the series.Organized by the FILM SOCIETY OF LINCOLN CENTER in collaboration with PRAGDA, LATINBEAT celebrates the riskiest independent films coming from Latin America.
