This year's selection is the biggest and riskiest yet, unveiling the next generation of Spanish film legends. Featuring first-time filmmakers and established masters alike, the very best in contemporary Spanish cinema comes to Ottawa. Join us for award-winning comedies, romances and dramatic masterpieces.
From September 5 to 7, audiences in Ottawa will also enjoy, as part of the Festival program, the third SPANISH SHORT FILM FESTIVAL. There isn’t any film genre as creative as the short film. For the third year in a row, the Spanish Short Film Festival in Ottawa will highlight the overflowing talent coming out of Spain in this genre by showcasing the latest up-and-coming works of new filmmakers who will undoubtedly shape the future of Spanish cinema.This exciting sample of 24 short films, coming from seven different regions in Spain, will be screened in original version with English subtitles. Just relax and enjoy the show.
