The short film genre in Spain continues to flourish and achieve great success in all international competitions. With the annual SHORTMETRAJE film program we highlight the overflowing talent coming out of Spain in this genre by showcasing the latest up-and-coming works as well as those that have already gained wide international impact in festivals such as Sundance and Cannes. Soaking in these stories is a chance to experience the enormous diversity of ideas that inhabit the world of Spanish short cinema--and to witness the first steps of new filmmakers who will undoubtedly shape the future of Spanish cinema. As an addition this year we’ll have a concurrent selection of short films online. Check it out!
